Save Douglass College Student/Alumnae March and Rally
Supporters at President’s State of the University Address to Share Opposition of Plan to Close Douglass College
| WHAT: | Douglass College students, alumnae, elected officials, and friends will rally to Save Douglass College and then march in solidarity down College Avenue to Brower Commons prior to President McCormick’s annual State of the University Address. The group wants to stop the proposed plan by the Rutgers University Task Force on Undergraduate Education that would eliminate Douglass College and replace it with a campus. Douglass College has offered a plan that accomplishes the majority of the Task Force’s recommendations while enabling Douglass College to continue to deliver a world-class all women’s educational experience at Rutgers University. |
